Directions to Escrowee & Notices — Plain English

Two different things: how the earnest is held/released, and how you must deliver contract notices.

Escrowee

• Escrowee holds funds and releases per contract or mutual direction.
• If there’s a dispute, escrowee may keep holding or interplead.

Notices

• Use the delivery methods listed in the contract (personal, mail, fax, email, overnight).
• Send to the exact names/addresses/emails shown in the contract and copy attorneys.
• Business day/hour rules control when a notice counts.
